Connection, Gratitude, and Looking Ahead
The holiday season at Friends Seminary was marked by joy, reflection, and reconnection. Throughout December and into early January, it was a pleasure to welcome so many alumni back to campus, gathering in familiar spaces, reconnecting with classmates and teachers, and renewing ties to the school that helped shape their paths. These moments remind us that Friends is not only a place of learning, but a lifelong community.
As we begin the new year, the Advancement Office remains deeply focused on strengthening alumni connections near and far. Michael is actively organizing regional gatherings in areas where Friends alumni live and work in strong concentrations, including California, Massachusetts, and, of course, New York. These gatherings create opportunities to reconnect, share experiences, and build relationships that support both personal and professional growth in where Friends alumni live and work.
We are also excited to build on the success of our recent career networking event, including our gathering focused on law-related professions. Alumni generously shared their experiences and insights, offering guidance and connection to those at earlier stages of their careers. Planning is already underway for a medical and healthcare-focused networking track, and we welcome your ideas. Are there other career paths or industries you would like to explore with fellow Friends alumni? Creating space for these conversations strengthens our community, whether you are establishing your career, looking to grow, or eager to support others along the way.
Gratitude for Year-End Giving
As we reflect on the close of the calendar year, I want to express sincere thanks to everyone who made a year-end gift in support of Friends Seminary. Your generosity plays a vital role in sustaining the current experiences of our students. Early gifts, in particular, allow for the greatest impact for the current school year to ensure that programs, financial aid, faculty support, and student opportunities are fully resourced throughout the year.
Your support has an immediate and lasting impact. It affirms our shared commitment to the mission of Friends Seminary and helps ensure that today’s students benefit from the same care, rigor, and values that alumni carry with them long after graduation.
As we look ahead to 2026, we invite you to stay connected, join us at upcoming gatherings, and continue shaping the future of our alumni community together. Thank you for all the ways you support Friends, through your presence, your participation, and your generosity.
