At Morehouse, service is a core part of my campus life. I participated in Morehouse’s Get on the Bus initiative for two semesters during my freshman year. Get on the Bus takes current Morehouse students to low-income high schools around the country to promote college readiness and share Morehouse’s mission. I traveled to high schools in New Jersey and Florida, and got to connect with young men and women of color and share my experiences with them and hopefully serve as a role model, encouraging them to pursue higher education and have goals in their lives. I’ve also volunteered with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and supported community service projects through student organizations, including volunteering for a women’s shelter creativity project.
Beyond academics, I serve as Chief Business Officer of The Maroon Tiger student newspaper and as Vice President of Marketing and Outreach for Scholars of Finance, where I help lead initiatives that connect students with finance professionals and promote values-based leadership. I am also part of the Student Investment Fund, where I work with a cohort of students to research industries, pitch stocks, and gain hands-on investing experience. In addition, I serve as a Student Ambassador at Morehouse, welcoming prospective students and representing the College at various events. These involvements have been instrumental in sharpening my leadership skills while also allowing me to give back to my campus community.
This past summer, I completed a 10-week private equity internship with AEA Investors, where I rotated across the Middle Market, Small Business, and Private Debt Funds groups. I enjoyed developing my technical skills, gaining exposure to a wide range of investment strategies, and learning directly from professionals across the firm.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to be a junior at Morehouse where I study Business Finance. I have greatly enjoyed my college experience so far and am proud to attend an HBCU. Being surrounded by peers and mentors who share a common commitment to excellence in a Black environment has been both inspiring and empowering. Professionally, I look forward to continuing my journey in finance as I prepare for my 2026 Investment Banking internship with Barclays.
