With sadness, we report the passing of Jones Harris '47.

Jones Harris was born in Paris in 1929 and became a New Yorker in 1935. He was the son of Ruth Gordon and Jed Harris, and was educated at Friends Seminary, Brandeis University, and Camp Kawanhee in Weld, Maine. His passions included history and literature, and he was a devoted admirer of Winston Churchill, Dashiell Hammett, James Thurber, and Sir Edward Dyer. He was married once, to Heidi Vanderbilt, and is survived by his son Jack Harris, daughter-in-law Rebekah Sturges, and grandson Abraham Harris-Sturges.
