Class of 2024 Senior Gift

By Sasha High

Congratulations to the Class of 2024, who graduated from SummerStage in Central Park on June 6, 2024. This exemplary class demonstrated empathy and care for their community, both in their conduct as students and in their thoughtful choice for the Senior Gift.

We are delighted to announce that the Class of 2024 proposed and fundraised for the Class of 2024 Endowment for Extracurricular Activities. This endowment will support special opportunities outside the traditional academic setting, specifically funding athletics, visual arts, and performing arts extracurricular activities as needed.

The Class of 2024 Senior Gift Committee, including Zoe Glimcher ’24, Nico Lang ’24, Indigo Hubbard-Salk ’24, Maanas Krishnaswami ’24, Morgan Maslansky ’24, Sadie Rahbar ’24, Eve Safer-Bakal ’24, Lila Safer-Bakal ’24 and Mike Seaton ’24, met twice a month from January through February. After consulting with their classmates, whose interests were divided between supporting performing arts and athletics, the Class of 2024 decided to create a fund that supports both initiatives. Friends is deeply grateful to this year's Senior Gift Committee for their time, commitment, and thoughtfulness in establishing the Class of 2024 Endowment for Extracurricular Activities.

As of June 13, 2024, the Class raised $234,261 for the fund, which will have a lasting impact on our community for years to come. Raise a glass to our new alumni class and this huge accomplishment!
