With sadness, we report the passing of Rajesh Malladi Shastry (P'22, '26).

Executive staffing firm Options Group announced that its co-founder and president, Rajesh Malladi Shastry, passed away at age 51. Shastry was also known as Bob Reed.
“Today, we have lost someone who is irreplaceable to all of us; however, Bob’s legacy will be remembered and celebrated,” the company said in a statement. “A fiercely loving father, husband, family man and fearless leader, Bob led by example every day of his life.”
Bloomberg reported that Shastry died of glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer that is difficult to cure. He took on a pseudonym early in his career after he struggled to get prospective clients to return calls; a former boss picked a name from a local newspaper.
