Letter from the Director of Alumni Relations

Dear Friends,

On September 5, Friends Seminary welcomed back students from Grade 1-8 with Kindergarten and Upper School students returning the following days. As we enter Friends’ 239th year, there is a lot to look forward to. This year’s school-wide theme is Growing Together Through Silence and Dialogue. Head of School Bo Lauder stated in his letter to the Friends community that this theme will explore two key practices from our Faith and Practice: Silence and Dialogue. I encourage you to revisit this living document. Please reach out to us to open this conversation and build on the Quaker foundation that has and continues to make Friends Seminary special. This year I plan to highlight some of our recent graduates of the last decade (G.O.L.D.). Make sure to read through this newsletter and mark your calendar for upcoming events, hear news from fellow alums and other updates from 16th Street.

I hope you will celebrate your connection to this special community this year: join us for an event, stop by for a tour, share with us your good news, and continue to keep in touch with your friends from Friends Seminary.

In stewardship,

Michael Mudho

Director of Alumni Relations
